Hi, I'm Lindsay Baldy. I love pets! My two boys, Blue, a sweet and gentle Coonhound, and Diego, a sneaky and lively Beagle, play a huge part in my life. My daily routine includes numerous walks, playtime, and training with my pups.
I founded The Canine Companion in 2009 when I couldn't come to terms with the fact that I was leaving my boys for extended periods of time to go to a job I found unfulfilling. I would race home from a long day to see four floppy ears and two wagging tails - this was the highlight of my day. I felt horrible that they were alone most of the day and knew that many other pet lovers must feel the same guilt.
One day it dawned on me that becoming a pet sitter providing at home pet sitting was my calling. I now absolutely love what I do! My clients are more like family and I care for each pet as if they were my own.
I live in Macedonia and am originally from Solon. I graduated from Ohio University and worked in the banking industry prior to creating The Canine Companions. My husband, Adam, and I enjoy spending time outdoors and with family.
In addition to being bonded, insured, and trained by the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid, I also earned the title of Certified Professional Pet Sitter in June 2011.
